QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing and/or Mechatronics or related field combined with a minimum of five years of successful occupational experience in Manufacturing and/or Mechatronics or five years relevant experience teaching in a Manufacturing / Mechatronics training/education program. (Consideration will be given to an alternative combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job.)

  • Demonstrate possession of knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for employment in the manufacturing and mechatronics industry.

  • Demonstrate ability to relate positively with students, teachers, administrators, employers, parents, and the community.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong organizational skills.

  • Proven skills working collaboratively and productively in a team environment while building consensus among diverse groups, including department personnel and partner agencies.

  • Demonstrate ability to analyze complex situations and implement proactive or corrective actions and strategies.

  • Thorough knowledge of computer usage and ability to use word processing, multimedia and database software, E-mail, the Internet, Canvas, Banner, and essential computer literacy for instruction.

  • Expertise and/or experience with in-person and remote instruction.

    Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Education or related Manufacturing and/or Mechatronics fields.

  • Experience with outcomes assessment, curriculum, or training development; plus, course revision and the ability to teach lessons aligned to learning outcomes.

  • Community College teaching or industry training experience.

  • Professional Technical endorsement in Manufacturing Technology or STEM Education.

  • Appropriate industry certifications (may include):

  • American Welding Society (AWS).

  • Certified Fluid Power Specialist (CFPS).

  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).

  • International Fluid Power Society (IFPS).

  • National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS).

  • NC3 Festo or Allen/ Bradley/ Siemens Certifications.
