Job Description:

The ideal candidate for this position demonstrates Thermo Fisher Scientific values - Integrity Intensity Innovation and Involvement! This individual enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary environment and will possess the following combination of education and experience:

Key Responsibilities:

• Synthesize polymer particles using established chemistries

• Participate in process optimization development and scale-ups for routine production

• Perform analytical characterization of polymeric particles using specialty equipment and instrumentation including ion-chromatography particle sizing and surface area instruments

• Analyze data derive conclusions document findings write SOPs and prepare reports

• Present written and oral reports and collaborate with multidisciplinary groups with RD and manufacturing divisions

• Producing many of the resins that are key to the success of Thermo Fishers Ion Chromatography portfolio

• Follow all EHS safety requirements participate in safety improvement activities and carry out to ISO9001 guidelines and corporate quality policy

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree - Chemistry

• Hands on experience in the Chemistry laboratory wet chemistry

• Ability to summarize and present experimental results and have excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Able to lift the weights up to 40 lbs and meet all physical demands to work in chemical laboratory

Shift: Mon - Fri 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

Possibility for OT: Occasional OT

Contract Length: 12 months (possibility to extend)

Experience Level: Intermediate Level
