UCLA Health Sr. LVN - Extensivist/Palliative Care Clinic, Santa Monica in Santa Monica, California

Description

In this role, you will be responsible for direct nursing care, clinic administration, patient flow coordination. Interact with faculty, fellows, patients and staff to maximize quality of care and customer service. Administrative responsibilities include ensuring all clinical protocols are followed: daily operations are maintained and work with management team to provide ongoing quality of care and service review.

Salary Range: $34.61 - $45.66/hourly

Qualifications

Possess active license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with Intravenous Therapy and blood withdrawal certification. Posession of Active BLS from the American Red Cross or American Health Association. Working knowledge of the physician practice operations. Excellent blood withdrawal and IV skills. Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients. Ability to recognize abnoval laboratory values and report to Physicians. Skills in usage of medical diagnostic equipment, as well as working knowledge of instruments and supplies required to perform clinical procedures and physical examinations. Ability to effectively elicit salient clinical information such as presenting complaints from patinets and referring professiona, and make appropriate assignments based on established guidelines. Ability to accept direction administration and act promptly. Ability to establish and main cooperative working relationship patients, peers, physicians and administrators. Ability to effectively elicit salient clinical information such as presenting complaints from patients and referring professional, and make appropriate responding to patients and visitors with health concerns using tact and discretion. Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and general public in a high volume, continoues public setting. Skill in performing with frequent interruptions and/or distractions including the ability to accept equivocal circumstances and responds to changing priorities and deadlines. Ability to maintain equanimity in the face of resistance, indifference and hostility. Ability to maintain confidentiality and to work with sensitive and confidential information using discretion and judgment. Working knowledge of UC's based registration system, appointment scheduling system and order entry system. working knowledge of Computer systems for us in analytical and operationsl tasks (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
