Capital One’s Audit Analytics and Innovation Team is driving the transformation of how we work in audit with data & technology. We help define the roadmap for the department’s overall assurance strategy, design new early stage products and services, and accelerate delivery through innovative methods and technologies.

The Analytics and Innovation team is a diverse, highly engaged, cross-functional organization made up of data analysts, data scientists, auditors, and product leaders who collaborate to design & build products that will reinvent how we evaluate the risk environment, enhance our assurance coverage, and increase our capacity efficiency.

Product Managers play a critical role in achieving our strategy. They lead teams of designers, engineers, data scientists and analysts to define product strategy and develop, launch, and enhance products and services that drive our business forward.

The role:

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Product Manager to lead a team focused on developing next level auditor experiences which help us provide greater risk coverage and assurance within Audit and at Capital One, by leveraging cutting edge technologies like Gen AI and LLMs based solutions. we can remove the part where it says partner with Data Scientists and Data Analysts. What you’ll do:

  • Set product vision and lead road mapping, goal setting, prioritizing, capability delivery, and product roll-out strategy

  • Continually drive to understand customer needs and ensure they are considered in prioritization and trade-off discussions

  • Engage with various stakeholders to develop a comprehensive vision for how the Product team can deliver value to all user personas collectively

  • Develop and lead customer research, prototyping, and test and learn agendas with a focus on building MVP experiences to learn about hypotheses

  • Partner with our Tech, Data Science and Data Analyst teams to find opportunities to leverage Machine Learning and advanced analytics to deliver real-time, personalized and contextual experiences for our users

  • Lead grooming activities within an Agile team, specifically defining and writing user stories, acceptance criteria and customer experience

  • Build and maintain strong relationships and feedback loops with leaders and stakeholders who manage the downstream operations and processes that depend on the capabilities and performance of our platforms

  • Help with overall thought leadership around platform development at the intersection of data+design+tech for the sake of creating meaningful, measurable business and user value

  • Apply risk-based decision-making and manage products and processes sustainably

  • You’ll have an end-to-end understanding of your product and how it fits into the larger Audit ecosystem to be able to anticipate impacts from changes in other parts of Audit department

  • You’ll be responsible for attracting and retaining top talent to your team and mentoring and developing associates on their product career

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in digital product management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering

  • MBA or Master’s degree

  • 3+ years of experience in Agile product management

  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $199,100 - $227,200 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
