We are looking for a System Manager for Telecom meeting the need for smart-mobility solutions.

Your new responsibilities and tasks – Challenging and future oriented

  • The system-manager for telecom assumes full functional responsibility for the Telecom-Subsystem and representation in consultation with the overall system manager up to hand-over of the project to the customer (operator).

  • In agreement with customers, suppliers and specialist departments, coordinate and define external-internal technical interfaces.

  • Ensure interface compatibility, in particular with external partners, and interaction of the subsystems within the scope.

  • Recording and clarification of all technical and operational requirements for a customer system considering contractual obligations

  • Economic objectives (quality, cost, date) have to be taken into account.

  • Creation of planning documentation (e.g., system architecture, associated interface descriptions and design documents).

  • Documentation of technical claim and risk management

  • Establishment of the Telecom-System from the user requirements taking into consideration as specified in system architecture

  • Updating of the subsystem architecture as part system architecture (interfaces, system-internal and -external, RAMS, risk analysis)

  • Continuous processing and assessment (i.e. including future change requests) of requirements for the subsystem (system performance, functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Central contact for external and internal project partners regarding the overall technical system.

  • Internal and external coordination of the technical system documents.

  • Implement technical claims and cooperate with the technical project manager regarding feasibility and technical risks.

  • Overall planning and monitoring of the overall integration system

  • Support and accompaniment of overall testing and commissioning activities

  • Controlling the technical results of the project

  • Continuous assessment of changes to the Telecom system concept relating to the system

  • Identification of possible delays, deviation and Risks and potential claims within the Telecom scope.

  • Briefing on the developments of the open technical issues and supporting the review.

  • The system manager is available as technical contact for Telecom subsystems.

  • Subcontractor interface and driving the all interface related technical issues.

  • Responsibility for control and execution of the system projects lies with the technical project manager.

Your qualification – Well-grounded and adequate

  • Bachelor/ Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Telecom Engineering

  • In depth knowledge of the Telecom Subsystems (Radio System (TETRA, GSM-R, xG, WiFi), backbone (SDH, MPLS), Fibre Optic Cable, PABX, CCTV, Master Clock System, Passenger Information Display System, Public Announcement System, Facility SCADA, Access Control and Intrusion Detection)

  • First management experience on technical level

  • Experience of working in preferably Railways Environment of at least 7-12 years or similar environment.
