Carly Sahagian with Robert Half is providing an opportunity for an Inventory Clerk in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be mainly engaged in the selling, quoting, and filling sequence of our textured paint products for commercial entities such as schools and hospitals. You will be a vital component in our sales process, as you'll be responsible for providing quotes to contractors bidding on projects and subsequently handling the ordering process once the job is awarded.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with contractors interested in bidding on new commercial projects, providing them with detailed quotes for our products.

• Maintain regular communication with our manufacturer to ensure accurate price quoting.

• Manage the order placement process effectively once a contractor is awarded a project.

• Ensure timely provision of product samples when required.

• Handle all paperwork related to the selling, quoting, and filling processes meticulously.

• Maintain strong customer service relations with our regular customers, addressing any inquiries or issues they may have promptly.

• Work independently to manage and prioritize various tasks.

• Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and Microsoft Office Suites for various tasks.

• Ensure accurate data entry in systems like IBM AS/400 and About Time.

• Handle cash activity related to the selling process when necessary.

Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions.

• Proficient in IBM AS/400.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites.

• Experience with 'About Time' software.

• Proven track record in cash handling and cash activity.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Strong data entry skills.

• Experience working as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar role.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
