Universal Health Services Therapist in LIBERTY HILL, Texas

Responsibilities

As a Program Therapist at Meridell Achievement Center, you'll be part of a dynamic and compassionate treatment team dedicated to providing exceptional care to children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and neurobehavioral challenges. You'll play a crucial role in developing and implementing individualized therapeutic plans, working closely with patients, and families to achieve remarkable outcomes.

Your Impact:

  • Manage a caseload of up to 11 patients, providing personalized therapy and support to help them overcome their challenges

  • Lead psychoeducation and process groups to empower patients and families with valuable skills and knowledge

  • Coordinate discharge planning and aftercare dispositions to ensure seamless transitions for patients

  • Serve as the liaison between the treatment team and families/community stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and collaboration

  • Document progress notes and treatment plans in a timely and accurate manner

  • Participate in weekly treatment team staffings and team meetings to stay connected with your unit team members

    Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

  • Current State of Texas license as a PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMSW, LMFT-A, or LPC-A, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date

  • Effective interpersonal skills and competent clinical skills

  • Collaborative, positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Preferred Requirements:

  • Two years post-licensure experience, advanced training or certification in an evidence-based practice such as EMDR, CBT, or DBT

  • One year of clinical experience in RTC setting

  • One year of group facilitation experience
