As the Housing Programs Specialist, you will manage all aspects of the City\'s Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance as well as Homeowner Rehabilitation programs. This entails handling outreach and promotion efforts, assessing applicant eligibility, overseeing project management, and managing loan processing. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining grant compliance through annual planning, performance reporting, and monitoring activities. The Housing Division oversees a range of programs, including Fair Housing, Section 8 Housing, Property Maintenance, Down Payment Assistance, Home Improvement Assistance, and Vacant Properties programs. To perform the essential duties of the position, the minimum education and experience required includes: High School diploma or GED is required. An associate degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Minimum of three (3) years\' experience in grants management, project management, affordable housing programs, accounting or financial management, real estate or retail lending, and/or construction industry codes and standards is required. Have or ability to learn and understand federal housing inspection requirements, including NSPIRE program Have a valid state-issued driver\'s license at time of hire.
