Speedway LLC Manager, Network Operations in Enon, Ohio

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Manager - Network operations, this person will accomplish results through the management of professionals and integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. We are seeking a technically strong person who is eager to manage a team. Ideally, you will have mentored and managed a small team in the past, and you have passion for production support of technology. Provide management and guidance to the Network operations staff, focus on the implementation of new and enhanced networks across thousands of locations, high availability and quick resolution of the services delivered. This position has responsibility for all support aspects of 7-Eleven's Enterprise Networks, including integration with Cloud providers, 3rd party providers, and managing a local team. Maintain, close liaison with various operational, project, development, vendor and product teams, ensure ongoing service and support can be maintained to defined service levels.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Manages Enterprise operations team

  • Provides technical oversight across systems and architectures.

  • Provides a holistic view of the production environment for both technology and business management, working closely as a trusted partner for senior business heads.

  • Provides guidance on feedback reviews with development managers, ensuring outstanding issues are tracked to closure, particularly long-term strategic fixes.

  • Performs controlled resolution of incidents and problems including prioritization and escalation to relevant groups when appropriate, root cause analysis of all problems with follow-through to resolution.

  • Requires awareness of audit and compliance related issues.

  • Contributes to formulation of strategies for network growth and stability.

  • Ability to handle incidents, problems and change at a global enterprise level.

  • Responsible for delivery of end results and shares responsibility for budget management which directly impacts

  • Network Operations; accountable for resource planning.

  • Manages customer satisfaction requirements of operational procedures to achieve a suitable outcome for all stakeholders

  • Exhibits sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information with inherent confidence with operations and technology partners on a regional or global basis.

  • Focus on people development, evaluating subordinates' performance and making decisions on pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions.

  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned

  • EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree

  • YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 10+ years

  • YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: 5+ years

  • CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES: NA

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • 7+ years of hands-on work within large scale networking environment

  • Demonstrated experience with mentoring and experience in people management

  • Senior stakeholder management experience

  • Fundamentals of Networking and demonstrated experience supporting very large scale network environments.

  • Experience using call/ticketing software

  • Moderate level understanding of TCPIP routing and switching, along with network design best practices

  • Moderate level understanding of BGP, OSPF, Network Security, Switching topologies, and Cloud networking.

  • Experience writing technical specifications is recommended.

  • Ability to interface with business areas and effectively translate business needs into technology based business solutions.

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Ability to keep abreast of new technological and or/procedural developments and demonstrate knowledge and expertise with software tools and an ability to evaluate solutions.

  • Ability to deal with and resolve ambiguity.

  • Strong leadership, planning and project management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
