Robert Half Audit Manager in Des Moines, Iowa

Description We are offering a unique opportunity for a skilled Audit Manager in the banking industry, based in DES MOINES, Iowa. The role will involve conducting a variety of audits throughout the bank, including management, risk management, legal, and insurance audits. The successful candidate will be involved in the full life-cycle of an audit, from planning to execution, and will have the confidence to present findings to stakeholders, including the C-Suite.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct various audits throughout the bank, including management, risk management, legal, and insurance audits.

• Work on the full life-cycle of an audit, from planning to execution.

• Develop and maintain audit checklists and other necessary documentation.

• Present audit findings to stakeholders, including the C-Suite, in a clear and concise manner.

• Continually monitor and assess the bank's risk and control environment.

• Ensure all audit activities are in compliance with banking industry regulations and standards.

• Collaborate with other team members to improve audit processes and methodologies.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking industry trends, developments, and regulatory changes.

• Utilize strong financial services experience to conduct effective audits.

• Leverage skills in 'Audit - Financial' to deliver high-quality audit results. Requirements • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Prior experience in the banking industry and specifically in the audit function is required.

• Proficiency in 'Audit - Financial' is a must.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Candidate must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing a team are essential.

• Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance standards is expected.

• Proficiency in using audit software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.

• The candidate should have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.

• Familiarity with risk assessment and risk management principles is important.

• The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion is required.

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity are required.
