Robert Half Staff Accountant in Dallas, Texas

Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry located in Dallas, Texas. The primary role of the Staff Accountant is to maintain financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial statements.

• Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis.

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Participate in the month-end close process, including the preparation of financial statements and reports.

• Utilize financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to maintain and analyze financial data.

• Communicate with customers and vendors regarding financial transactions and inquiries.

• Adhere to financial policies, regulations, and legislation to ensure compliance.

• Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and procedures. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.

• Expertise in conducting Bank Reconciliations.

• Familiarity with General Ledger management and the preparation of Journal Entries.

• Experience in Month End Close procedures.

• Proficiency in using financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High level of integrity and professionalism.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.

• Certification such as CPA or CMA is considered an asset.
