Job Description Summary

The Modern Learning Developer role is responsible for working cross-functionally with a team of global product experts and training personnel to identify learning needs, acting as the lead for initiating, analyzing, planning, designing, and executing GE Healthcare learning solutions for the Advanced Visualization (AW) portfolio.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deliver, and implement instructor led training, virtual training, e-learning, and performance support solutions.

  • Evaluate and select the most effective learning strategy and apply the most appropriate learning models to prepare, support and empower our students to feel confident in servicing their customers.

  • Work with global training organization, regional support engineers, and product modality experts to gather needs and voice of customer.

  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions and recommend opportunities for improvement.

  • Identify and select instructional and delivery strategies appropriate to meet the training need, leveraging break-through technology, simulation, virtual machines and distance learning applications to deliver state-of-the-art training.

  • Assess training needs to support new and existing products and digital technologies, employing Job Duty Task Analyses data and thorough needs analysis to identify critical knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • Execute project scope and plans, ensure project progress to ensure course requirements are met and course development is completed on time and meets its objectives.

  • Solicit and integrate input from stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure courses meet business needs.

  • Partner with and influence internal and external stakeholders to drive program completion.

  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and four years’ experience in Instructional Design, Project Management, Education, Engineering or relevant knowledge and experience.

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office/Teams software applications, Smartsheet, and Storyline.

  • Leverages various delivery strategies and technologies in course design (Instructor-Led, Simulations, Virtual Machines, Distance and Online Learning).

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%.

  • Master’s degree in a Training or Education-related field.

  • Creative problem solver.

  • Team leadership skills, ability to communicate clearly, activate and sustain team motivation, and conflict resolution.

  • Excellent written and presentation skills, with experience in innovative course design and delivery.

  • Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail.

  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to work with teams in a fast paced, high-energy environment.

  • Experience creating technical training materials in multi-media delivery environments.

  • Former GEHC engineering or field experience.
