Northwell Health LPN- Inpatient Rehab Center-Temp to Perm-Full-Time-Brooklyn, NY in Brooklyn, New York

FlexStaff is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the nursing team at our inpatient facility in Brooklyn, NY. The LPN will be responsible for delivering direct nursing care under the supervision of the RN. Join our team and make a difference in the lives of our patients. This is a Temp to Perm position. Responsibilities:

  • Administer all medications according to Safe Nursing Practice standards and provider's orders.

  • Complete and document patient's individual progress notes, including COWS scores, CIWA scores, and vitals.

  • Adhere to all policies and procedures regarding medication administration and storage.

  • Document patient activities such as admissions, discharges, transfers, and ER visits in the EMR.

  • Document patient's detox progress and behavioral response.

  • Record all treatment interventions and patient responses in medical records.

  • Educate patients on medications and document their response, comprehension, and compliance.

  • Communicate changes to patient treatment plans with all disciplines.

  • Check emergency equipment daily, including the Emergency Drug Box and Oxygen Tank.

  • Perform unit inventory assessment of medications, supplies, equipment, and stationery.

  • Prepare the unit's diet order form each night for the Overnight RN Supervisor.

  • Document nursing incidents that occur during shifts.

  • Adhere to dress code standards.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Diploma from an NLN accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses.

  • Current and in good standing NYS Education Department LPN Registration.

  • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in Substance Abuse or Psychiatry preferred.

The salary range for this position is $55,000-$68,250/year
