We offer an integrated, interdisciplinary approach to care, coupled with state-of-the-art technology and techniques that enable you to provide every patient the best possible outcome.* * * Advanced Practice Provider Manager Role Scope *Primary responsibilities include: · Provides administrative management to a minimum of 10 Advance Practice (AP) providers within a specialty or work area to ensure that a high quality, cost-effective clinical care is delivered by the department in support of the hospital's strategic plan, and the function's goals and objectives. · The AP Manager will maintain clinical responsibilities in their area of specialty. · Reports to department Medical Director and Regional Director · Establishes performance expectations; coaches, develops, and evaluates performance to enable AP employees to be successful in contributing to the achievement of individual and department objectives. · Oversees AP scheduling and resource utilization in collaboration with residency (if applicable). · Oversees Kronos payroll activities · Contributes to the development of meaningful goals and objectives for the department that align with the strategic direction of the organization by analyzing needs and developing recommendations. · Communicates the goals and objectives to the staff and monitors progress during the year. · Participation in Clinical Councils · Recruitment and Hiring/Onboarding · Holds regular huddles and staff meetings The Advanced Practice (AP) providers are part of a multidisciplinary team that plans and delivers care for neurology, stroke and other complex disorders affecting blood supply to the brain and spinal cord, including brain aneurysms, carotid artery disease, cervical artery dissection, vascular malformations and other disorders of the nervous system under the direction of the attending physicians atSt. Vincent’s Medical Center. Advanced Practitioner Qualifications * · Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Master’s program preferred. · Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut. · Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. · Board Certification as an acute care nurse practitioner preferred. · Neurology or stroke experience preferred.
