Google Product Test Lead, Silicon in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in consumer hardware, with technical experience in software/hardware testing tools and methodologies.

  • 5 years of experience in Test Design, Test Planning, and Test Methodologies in scripting and automating various test plans.

  • 3 years of experience in leading a team of product test engineers.

  • Experience with end-to-end development of consumer hardware devices while developing and running test plans for Product Test.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • 7 years of experience in Test Design, Test Planning, Test Methodologies and Test.

  • Experience in scripting and automating various test plans Core interest and curiosity in discovery of systemic issues and relevant debugging.

  • Experience in working cross-functionally across multiple domains and products.

  • Experience in driving product verification and validation testing across multiple product lines.

In the R&D lab, you design test equipment for prototypes of our machinery and develop the protocols used to scale these tests for the entire global team. Working closely with design engineers, you give input on designs to improve our hardware until you're sure it meets Google's standards of quality and reliability.

  • Develop verification and validation specifications and methodology.

  • Partner closely with hardware and software teams to help review product key performance indicator metrics.

  • Strategize, plan, and automate methodologies that are consistent with the end user scenarios and identify automation opportunities.

  • Discover systemic issues on consumer hardware products and drive them to fixes.

  • Partner closely with cross-functional engineering teams to further triage system issues and drive fixes.
