Job Description:

OPPORTUNITY:

Ready to put your reading, writing, and comprehension skills to work with a team that changes the urban fabric of our community? Would you enjoy assisting and learning from top level department managers in procurement and contracts management? Parsons is now hiring a Student Intern for our rapidly expanding Procurement team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, under close supervision of a degreed professional, you’ll review subcontracts, identify where we are on the projects, create summary reports of action items, communicate with subcontractors by phone what we need, and potentially do light negotiation. You may also do other assignments as needed. Assignments are designed to develop a working knowledge of policies, practices, and procedures related to subcontracts, contracts, and procurement. This is a developmental position for college interns who are pursuing a non-technical field of study.

VARIOUS PROJECTS:

In this role, the incumbent will work on a variety of commercial projects in the U.S. under the supervision of the Director, Procurement.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Incumbent must be enrolled in Business Administration, Contracts Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Finance (or related) curriculum at an accredited college or university and completed at least one year of study with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary Range:

$14.66 - $24.95
