[**[GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION [[The Commission on State Emergency Communications (CSEC) is the states authority on emergency communications. CSEC administers the state 9-1-1 service program and the statewide poison control program. The Programs division is responsible for the direct administration of the 9-1-1 and poison control programs for the agency.

[[The 9-1-1 Program provides budget oversight for 20 Regional Planning Commissions (RPCs) throughout the state to ensure the successful delivery of a 9-1-1 call. CSEC develops minimum performance and training standards for equipment and the operation of 9-1-1 service. CSEC also provides technical assistance along with assistance in the establishment and operation of 9-1-1 service and services that enhance the effectiveness of 9-1-1.

[[CSECs Programs division is seeking a dynamic and effective individual to join their team as a 9-1-1 Program Specialist to support the Director of Programs. Specifically, the 9-1-1 Program Specialist will be responsible for assisting 9-1-1 Program staff in the planning, developing, implementing, and continuing operation of 9-1-1 service and technologies, providing consultative services and technical assistance to the program grantees and vendors, and monitoring compliance with CSEC rules and policies.
